World Records

Introducing Guinness World Record breaker Gillian Sloan to the team.

atBOHO, our wing which looks after our all our properties, has appointed the superbly talented Gillian as the new Accommodation Manager for Scotway House, our flagship development in Glasgow.

As a record breaker, Gillian organised the world’s largest Powerhoop class and will be breaking new records when our flagship Scotway House opens in just a year’s time.

Having worked in banking, the student sector and run her own business, we’re pinching ourselves that Gillian has joined us and as we get ready to welcome a whole raft of new staff.

It’s exciting times here back at headquarters as we grow rapidly, bringing on new people, new properties and new ventures.

We’re growing

We’ve expanded with the recruitment of several new senior staff members.

The team is growing with plans for further expansion and jobs by the end of the year.

The move and recruitment of new team members signals our expansion as we seek to grow our presence in Scotland, the UK and Europe.

We have doubled our workforce to include engineers, designers and planning experts with plans in place to grow out our new residential management-arm and brand, BOHO.

Among our new staff members is Group Operations Director Brian Smith, the former Regional Technical Director of GRAHAM Group.

Brian has 30 years’ experience in architecture, construction and design management and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Builders.

He has successfully led teams and delivered projects across a number of key fields in construction including hotel and further education residential builds, schools, commercial/retail projects, primary healthcare and research facilities, and also Ministry of Defence (MOD) projects.

Christine Young, former Head of Operations at Fresh Property Group, joins as Operations Director of the management-arm BOHO.

She will focus on building, recruiting and developing BOHO, which will management the properties owned by the firm. Former Senior Communications and Public Affairs officer at Glasgow Caledonian University, will direct communications, marketing and brand development.

The expansion follows a JVA agreed between the company and Chicago-based Harrison Street Real Estate worth around £500million, one of the biggest deals of its kind for a SME in Scotland.

Structured House Group’s flagship development at Scotway House will open in September 2019 and is a £40million investment, creating more than 300 jobs plus, and will be home to 400 students and two restaurants. The new building will be under the management of BOHO and available for booking later this year.

All about Eve

Eve Thomson is our latest addition to our growing team.

As our Social Media and Marketing Executive, Eve will be a driving force in marketing our property-management arm, BOHO, which looks after our properties.

Eve joins us from Fresh Property Group, where she was an assistant manager of Foundry Courtyard. She has a wealth of experience as a previous sales and advertising co-ordinator at Glasgow Caledonian University’s Students’ Association.

Bringing in new talent is key to us as we grow and Eve will play a crucial role in the launch of our social media and marketing campaigns for our property management-arm, BOHO.

From residential to student, co-living to hotel, our BOHO team, led by Operations Director Christine Young, will be providing our residents with the very best and you’ll know our name as we grow.

Structured House, as reported in the Times, recently expanded with the appointment of some senior members to the team together with an office move to our new premises. There’s been no summer lull here as we step up operations.
